How to pivot and go digital
Author: Heather Martin Bonnier
Over the last few months, we have been partnering with our clients and vendors to decide what to do with already scheduled events, some that were just days and weeks away at the time the lockdown started, and many that were in the works for later down the road in 2020 and 2021.
How do you begin to make the decision to potentially put your employees and vendors at risk by getting together? How do you make your sales goals? How do you keep your employees and your business afloat when your sales are drastically different? How do you begin to balance safety, health, and business?
These are the questions we at ember have been dealing with on a daily basis, and we know we are not alone. Everyone has been impacted by this virus, and as long as you have your health, it feels silly to complain. But as a partner, it is our duty to help ensure that our clients can answer these questions for their businesses, which in turn keep their employees, which helps ensure that families and individuals make it through this pandemic. We are all responsible. We need to act together to make sure we all get through this.
We may not have all the answers but we can help to provide a framework of decision making and to be a sounding board to bounce around ideas. We can provide knowledge and insights into the events industry. We can partner with vendors, venues, restaurants, hotels, and our clients to make sure we reach a decision that will benefit all. We can use our creative agency and collective minds to come up with new solutions.
All of our events the last few months have had different needs, audiences, sizes, and goals. They have ranged from a small structured zoom meeting, to a live broadcast with curated media and breakout sessions, to studio shoots for videos to be used on a client’s platform. We don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach. Just like our in-person events, we develop and determine the solution with what will work best based on our client’s goals, objectives and the message they want to share.
So that is what we are doing. Today and everyday. Gathering has shifted, but we are still your partner through and through.
